About the job
Join Vast in our ambitious mission to revolutionize the future of space habitation. We are pioneering the development of advanced space stations aimed at sustaining human life in space, enabling groundbreaking microgravity research and fostering a new era of space economy for government, corporate, and private sectors. Our innovative approach, characterized by a focus on affordability and robust hardware, is propelling the rapid progress of our multi-module Haven Station. Following the successful launch of Haven Demo in 2025, Vast stands as the sole operational commercial space station company capable of managing its own spacecraft. With Haven-1 set to be the world’s first commercial space station, we aim to establish a permanent human presence in space by 2030. Our dedicated team is committed to executing this mission with safety and precision. If you aspire to work alongside the brightest minds in advancing humanity’s exploration of space, we invite you to be part of our journey.
We are currently seeking a Staff Acoustic Engineer, who will report directly to the Director of Life Support Systems. This role is vital in the design and construction of artificial-gravity, human-rated space stations.
This is a full-time, exempt position based in our Long Beach facility.
