Position Overview:

GMO’s Emerging Debt Team, which manages $9.5 billion in dedicated emerging market debt assets under management (AUM) for various clients, is seeking an experienced sovereign credit analyst. This team boasts a first-decile, 30-plus-year track record in managing hard currency strategies (EMBIG-D benchmark) and a first-decile 17-year record in local currency strategies (GBI-EMGD benchmark), along with selected bespoke mandates.

The successful candidate will join a 7-member team of portfolio managers and analysts covering approximately 80 countries across investment-grade, sub-investment grade, and defaulted nations. We are looking for a team-oriented individual with a strong enthusiasm for analyzing the economic and political landscapes of emerging markets. The ideal candidate should possess the initiative and capability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a small, collegial team.

This role is based in Boston.
