BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience in software development (2+ years). Proficient in programming languages such as Python, C, or C++. PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Familiarity with real-time rendering, game engine development, physics simulation, or other high-performance computing in resource-constrained environments. Understanding of network topology, numerical optimization techniques, graph theory, or convex optimization. Experience in developing, debugging, and deploying software across various platforms.

SOFTWARE ENGINEER - DIRECT TO CELL CONNECTIVITY

The Direct to Cell initiative is set to enhance Starlink's mission by delivering widespread connectivity and seamless access to voice, text, and data services for LTE-enabled devices globally. This innovative network will utilize the robust infrastructure established by Starlink, the world's largest satellite constellation, already serving over 7 million users worldwide with fast and reliable internet. As a prominent player in rocket and satellite manufacturing, SpaceX is poised to escalate the development of our Direct to Cell network, launching a constellation of hundreds of satellites. In this position, you will oversee the entire software lifecycle, encompassing development, testing, and support. We expect our engineers to bridge the gap between software design and performance in real-world applications. Your contributions will have a significant and quantifiable impact on global connectivity.
