What We Do
Our team specializes in identity and access management, overseeing authentication for all requests to our Mapbox APIs while implementing anti-fraud and abuse measures. These systems are essential entry points for every Mapbox product and are fundamental to our platform's integrity. Reliability, data integrity, and security are paramount in our operations as we develop intuitive interfaces for the services we provide.
The scope of our work supports a wide array of stakeholders, with public APIs empowering Mapbox users to manage their accounts, while private APIs establish a critical foundation for our internal service teams.
As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly integrated into engineering practices, we seek engineers who can thoughtfully incorporate AI into their design, development, and decision-making processes. Our interview process will include discussions on how you leverage AI in your engineering workflow.
What You'll Do
In collaboration with teams such as Billing in Finland, Security, and Platform, you will create secure identity and access management solutions for our clientele. Your contributions will also enhance our anti-fraud and abuse initiatives, paving the way for a resilient platform at Mapbox.
You will take charge of the IAM ecosystem, focusing on anti-fraud, abuse prevention, and token security at Mapbox. In this capacity, you can expect to:
Lead the development of new features that cater to Mapbox customers' needs for account management, including sign-up, sign-in, security, and token management.
Work closely with Billing, Security, Platform, and other internal teams along with Mapbox customers to understand their requirements for our authentication infrastructure.
Design future-proof systems while making strategic decisions that align with the rapid expansion of Mapbox.
Foster a culture of operational excellence through rigorous testing, monitoring of our systems, and code quality assurance.
