Key Responsibilities
As we continue to scale, adaptability remains at the heart of our culture. This role will involve:
Creating and implementing scalable Workday solutions that adhere to best practices while reflecting Canva’s unique business processes.
Taking ownership of the entire solution design for significant system updates, this includes ideation, validating edge cases, and overseeing the build and release process.
Collaborating closely with Product Owners, Workday Analysts, and cross-functional teams to ensure design integrity and alignment with business objectives.
Engaging in hands-on complex configuration and supporting team members to uphold high design standards.
Working alongside the broader Workday Platform team to implement robust engineering and release methods.
Influencing the future of Canva’s Workday platform by identifying design patterns, highlighting technical risks, and seeking simplification opportunities.
Are You the Right Fit?
A minimum of 5 years of hands-on Workday experience, particularly with modules such as HCM, Compensation, or Time Tracking. Experience with payroll systems is a significant plus.
Proven track record of leading at least two end-to-end Workday implementations, managing complex configurations and ensuring cross-functional alignment.
Familiarity with Workday tools, including business processes, condition rules, security groups, and calculated fields.
Ability to design scalable solutions that harmonize Workday best practices with the evolving requirements of Canva.
Excellent communication skills, enabling you to produce quality documentation and guide stakeholders through intricate changes.
A proactive approach to ambiguity, with a knack for resolving edge cases and interdependencies.
A natural collaborator, effectively working with product, systems, and business teams to achieve impactful results.
Capable of working asynchronously across various time zones with strong written communication skills.
