Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a related field such as English, Journalism, or Communications. A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience is essential. At least 4 years of specialized experience. Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with outstanding oral and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications:Master’s degree in a related field such as Communications, Journalism, or Media. Experience in communications, public relations, or journalism at the Department of Defense or service component headquarters level, with proficiency in social media strategy, rapid content creation, and multi-platform communication. Demonstrated ability to simplify complex technical topics into clear, engaging language while managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.

BryceTech is actively seeking a Senior Technical Writer to join our team in Washington. This role will provide critical support to the Under Secretary of Defense/Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (USD/DUSD(R&E)) Front Office, along with the Offices of the Assistant Secretary of Defense (OASD) for Science and Technology (S&T), Mission Capabilities (MC), and Critical Technologies (CT), as well as the Deputy Secretary of Defense (DSD). The Senior Technical Writer will be responsible for crafting tailored communications to effectively reach diverse audiences, including employees, clients, media outlets, social media platforms, students, industry stakeholders, and community organizations. Furthermore, all messaging must align with the strategic communication plans of OUSD(R&E).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, professional materials while demonstrating office knowledge, problem-solving capabilities, and effective communication skills.
  • Research and compose speeches, presentations, and communications that engage target audiences on significant technical issues and trends.
  • Develop new communication products, including presentations and speeches, that address complex and high-profile topics.
  • Engage regularly with clients to provide advice and consultation on messaging and communication strategies.
  • Produce comprehensive communications across various formats and channels, such as speeches, presentations, blogs, videos, articles, op-eds, bylined pieces, letters, and social media.
