Role overview
Vapi is expanding its Engineering and Product teams and plans to double headcount from 50 to over 100 employees. The Senior Technical Recruiter will play a key role in this growth, working directly with founders and engineering leaders to shape recruiting strategy, organizational design, and hiring priorities. This position is hands-on and proactive, focused on building and executing recruiting processes rather than simply managing open requisitions.
What you will do
- First 30 days:
- Focus on sourcing top talent for Engineering and Product roles.
- Integrate into Vapi’s hiring processes and build relationships with engineering stakeholders.
- Assess the current talent pipeline, sourcing channels, and interview outcomes.
- Next 60 days:
- Lead full-cycle recruiting for prioritized technical roles.
- Develop a healthy pipeline through sourcing, outreach, referrals, and networking.
- Partner with the Lead Technical Recruiter and hiring managers to improve job descriptions, interview steps, and evaluation criteria.
- Begin contributing to strategies for closing candidates and improving their experience.
- By 90 days:
- Consistently close high-quality engineering and product hires.
- Use data from Ashby to refine the hiring funnel and recommend ways to boost speed and quality of hiring.
