What You’ll Do:As a Senior Simulation Test Engineer, you will play a vital role in developing and executing scenario-based validation strategies, utilizing simulation to assess system performance, pinpoint gaps, and enhance overall robustness. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams across autonomy, systems, and safety to ensure that simulation insights lead to significant improvements in the real-world behavior of our vehicles. Contribute to the planning and execution of simulation-based test campaigns for autonomous vehicle verification and validation (V&V) efforts. Collaborate with Product, Systems, and Safety teams to support simulation-driven validation strategies. Develop, maintain, and expand Torc’s Scenario Library, including Abstract, Logical, and Concrete scenarios to enhance ODD coverage.

The Senior System Test Engineer joins the Systems Test team, which validates the safety and performance of Torc’s autonomous driving system. The team uses simulation, virtual testing, and data-driven validation to ensure reliability before deployment. Collaboration spans perception, planning, systems engineering, and safety, with a focus on testing autonomous behavior in both typical and challenging scenarios.
