Role overview
The Senior Staff Structural Simulation Engineer takes the lead in managing structural and thermo-mechanical risks for advanced vehicle electronics. Using high-fidelity numerical simulations, this role defines design requirements for integrated PCB layouts, enclosures, and cooling systems to help meet hardware reliability goals. The engineer sets up protocols for material characterization and develops model correlation methods to ensure simulation accuracy.
As a technical authority, the Senior Staff Structural Simulation Engineer shapes cross-functional decisions and leads complex root-cause analyses for new electrical hardware. The role also guides multidisciplinary teams in implementing next-generation vehicle systems.
Work location
This position is based in Palo Alto, California. It follows a hybrid schedule, with three days per week in the office.
