Role Overview:
We are looking for an outstanding Staff Product Designer to join our dynamic Growth team. This team is dedicated to enhancing adoption and engagement with Garner, managing member acquisition, onboarding, and ongoing engagement, while overseeing our app architecture and design system. In this pivotal role, you will craft essential user experiences, including engaging onboarding processes, a comprehensive notifications system, and strategies to effectively engage high-value users. Additionally, you will take ownership of Garner's Design System, collaborating across teams to ensure its implementation and continuous improvement.
Work Environment:
This position is based in our New York City office. Candidates must be available to work onsite three days a week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the user experience of Garner’s app architecture and core systems utilized across teams, including the home screen, global navigation, notifications, permissions, and more.
- Develop and enhance our design system to maintain a consistent and user-friendly app experience.
- Collaborate with various teams to promote the adoption and application of our design system and standards, and assist in its evolution as needed.
- Lead user experience efforts for growth initiatives from initial definition and research through to launch.
- Work closely with product teams to shape strategic direction and project scope.
- Partner with engineering to implement the design system effectively and ensure the overall quality of the application.
- Manage the design team’s relationship with the commercial organization, providing necessary visual assets and concepts for sales and marketing purposes.
