About the Role:
We are seeking a talented Senior Service Designer to enhance our expanding User-Centered Design practice. In this role, you will collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to execute intricate digital transformation projects for both public and private sector clients.
As a Senior Service Designer, you will be instrumental in guiding teams through the complexities of service design, identifying areas for enhancement, and crafting solutions that effectively meet the needs of users and organizations alike. This position covers the entire lifecycle of digital services, from initial problem exploration and sales support through discovery, design, delivery, and ongoing service improvement.
You will work closely with product managers, engineers, architects, researchers, and business stakeholders to ensure our solutions are aligned with actual user needs while adhering to organizational, technical, and regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
Service Design Delivery:
- Lead and facilitate service design initiatives across digital transformation projects.
- Analyze complex organizational systems to uncover opportunities for service and user journey enhancements.
- Create essential artifacts like service blueprints, journey maps, ecosystem maps, and operating models to support team understanding and service improvement.
- Assist teams in converting research findings and business objectives into actionable service enhancements.
Lifecycle Engagement:
- Participate in early project definition and problem identification.
- Engage in discovery activities to gain insights into user needs, organizational contexts, and system limitations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout the design and delivery phases to ensure cohesive services across various channels and touchpoints.
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of services post-launch.
Collaboration and Consulting:
- Facilitate workshops and collaborative design sessions with clients and diverse teams.
- Clearly communicate complex systems and service challenges to stakeholders.
- Work effectively with project and product managers, engineers, architects, and researchers to align service design with technical and organizational realities.
- Support teams in making data-driven decisions regarding service improvements.
Enhancing Design Practice:
- Champion user-centered and evidence-based design methodologies within delivery teams.
- Mentor junior designers as needed.
- Contribute to the evolution of design practices, tools, and approaches within the User-Centered Design team.
