Location and Schedule

Relocation to Boston is required. This Senior Revenue Accountant role is based on a hybrid schedule: onsite presence is expected Tuesday through Friday, with Mondays remote unless a workplace accommodation is approved. Axon emphasizes in-person work to support teamwork, mentorship, and collective achievement.

What You Will Do

  • Gain a thorough understanding of the order-to-cash process and how upstream activities influence revenue recognition and financial reporting.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly analytical reviews to confirm revenue and related accounts are recorded accurately and comply with accounting standards.
  • Prepare and document journal entries for revenue, deferred revenue, and related accounts.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Professional Services, Operations, FP&A, and IT to ensure accurate accounting and reporting.
  • Help design, improve, and maintain reporting and analytics for revenue and related metrics.
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close activities, including reconciliations and variance analysis.
  • Maintain compliance with internal controls, including SOX controls and process documentation.
  • Assist with internal audits and respond to related requests.

Impact and Collaboration

This position is central to accurate revenue and cost accounting. The Senior Revenue Accountant works with multiple teams to facilitate monthly close, analyze revenue trends, strengthen controls, and improve processes. The role is well suited to those who apply technical accounting skills and analytical thinking in a collaborative environment.
