RequirementsExperience:Over 8 years in Air Force or Space Force program management or direct industry program management in support of DoD space missions. Experience in any of the following areas is highly desirable:Space SensorsSpace VehiclesSpace Ground Control SystemsSpace Communication SystemsLaunch Base Operations or Space Launch VehiclesA minimum of 3 years' experience within the last 5 years supporting programs with TS/SCI or SAP-level responsibilities. Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Skills:In-depth understanding of the DoD acquisition lifecycle and program execution processes.

Job Summary

We are in search of a skilled Senior Program Manager for Space Systems to provide direct support to a U. S. Air Force or Space Force Program Office in the implementation of a vital space program of national significance. The ideal candidate will act as a strategic consultant to government leadership, overseeing all facets of program execution, from acquisition strategy and budget management to stakeholder engagement and systems engineering.

This position necessitates close collaboration with government staff and stakeholders across various technical sectors, including Space Sensors, Space Vehicles, Space Ground Control Systems, Space Communications, Launch Base Operations, and Launch Vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a principal advisor to the Government Program Manager on technical, strategic, and operational elements of the program.
  • Assist in all phases of the acquisition lifecycle, including milestone preparation, contract organization, and documentation.
  • Support budget planning, forecasting, and execution in accordance with DoD financial management practices.
  • Contribute to the development of system architecture and systems engineering integration efforts.
  • Oversee and track program schedules, risks, and interdependencies.
  • Facilitate senior leader engagements and craft high-quality communications for stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to program security requirements and support SAP-related program controls and protocols.
