Join IONATE, a pioneering deep technology scale-up dedicated to transforming the future of smart grids. We are on the lookout for a Senior Power Systems Engineer who will take a leading role in power system modeling, overseeing projects from initial concept to successful commercial deployment.

Your primary focus will be on power systems development, conducting high-resolution data analysis, and grid modeling. You will be instrumental in conducting design reviews and engaging in technical discussions, bringing an analytical engineering approach that merges innovative ideas with robust technical reasoning to tackle intricate challenges.

Additionally, you will be a key player in supporting business development, project execution, and testing activities, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and sustain high-fidelity power system models for grid analysis and product development.
  • Execute power system simulations and EMT simulations encompassing load flow, short-circuit and fault analysis, transient stability, fault-ride through, and harmonic propagation studies.
  • Perform detailed data analysis to assess network behavior, power quality, dynamic performance, and overall system reliability.
  • Lead technical design reviews and provide engineering support across interdisciplinary teams.
  • Assist in defining IONATE’s product architecture and integrating our solutions into electrical networks, ensuring adherence to relevant grid codes and regulatory standards.
  • Work closely with hardware, software, transformer, and control engineers to validate system-level performance from simulations to field deployment.
  • Offer technical insights for business development initiatives, including feasibility studies, technical proposals, and customer interactions.
  • Create structured technical documentation detailing methodologies, assumptions, analyses, and results to support internal governance and external certification processes.
