The dedicated team at Autism Intervention, Training & Consultancy (AITC) offers comprehensive training and consultancy for professionals and caregivers, alongside direct intervention services for individuals with autism.
As a Senior Occupational Therapist, your contributions will be vital in:
Assessment & Report Writing
- Collaborating in team assessments for school admissions.
- Conducting Occupational Therapy assessments and drafting reports for tailored intervention planning.
- Executing OT assessments and report writing for Access Arrangements for National Exams.
Intervention
- Designing and delivering programs for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), focusing on motor and coordination skills.
- Modifying tasks to enhance productivity through appropriate accommodations and skill development.
- Making referrals to external services as required.
- Engaging in a collaborative consultation model with key stakeholders.
Programme Development
- Participating in curriculum and program development initiatives.
- Creating school-wide intervention programs focusing on sensory issues and motor coordination skills.
Coaching/Training
- Delivering training and consultation to educators on OT interventions.
- Conducting parent training sessions related to OT interventions.
- Providing mentorship and supervision to junior Occupational Therapists.
Management and Leadership
- Reporting on agreed Key Goals for OT services.
- Influencing program and policy development to uphold best practices in OT and sensory accommodations.
