About the Role
The Crusoe Cloud Network Deployment Engineering team is searching for a proactive and experienced Network Engineer to join our ranks. This team is responsible for the design, construction, and operation of our global edge, backbone, and data center networks that support High-Performance Compute (HPC) Clusters equipped with GPUs. The ideal candidate will be highly driven, self-motivated, and eager to work with cutting-edge technologies that positively impact the environment. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
As a Network Engineer, you will play a vital role in expanding and enhancing the Global Crusoe Network. Your responsibilities will include the deployment of new data centers, Points of Presence (PoPs), and backbone infrastructure. This position offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience in network engineering, particularly in edge, backbone, and HPC-based data center networking at an unprecedented scale.
This position is on-site in San Francisco, CA, or Sunnyvale, CA, requiring in-office presence.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, and optimize Crusoe Energy Cloud's global network, including edge, backbone, data center, and public cloud connectivity.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Software Infrastructure and Product, to drive innovation and the evolution of the Crusoe Energy Cloud network.
Engage with external vendors and ISPs to evaluate and verify device and carrier selection.
Participate in a 24/7 Oncall Support rotation for the Crusoe Network.
Qualifications:
10+ years of relevant experience in building and operating large-scale production environments.
Comprehensive understanding of network protocols including TCP/IP, QoS, BGP, OSPF/IS-IS, EVPN, VXLAN, and MPLS-related technologies.
