Mission of the Role

The Senior Manager, Global Customs, will oversee compliance with international trade regulations, optimize duty savings through Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), and manage all customs-related processes. This role requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders, customs brokers, and governmental bodies to ensure smooth and compliant cross-border trade.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customs Compliance:
    • Collaborate globally on customs valuation analysis aligned with internal transfer pricing (TP) structures.
    • Review import/export documentation to ensure compliance with local and international customs regulations.
    • Work with global customs brokers and authorities to resolve clearance issues.
    • Act as a subject matter expert on global customs valuation matters.
  • Free Trade Agreements (FTAs):
    • Analyze and interpret global FTA rules of origin and eligibility criteria.
    • Coordinate with suppliers to obtain and validate origin documentation, such as Certificates of Origin.
    • Maintain documentation and audit trails to support FTA claims and duty savings.
    • Identify opportunities for ASM to reduce global import duties.
  • ACVA:
    • Assist with ACVA engagements and review annual ACVA reports, including voluntary amendments as applicable.
  • Customs Audit:
    • Prepare and support ad-hoc inquiries and audits conducted by global customs authorities.
