This role requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders, customs brokers, and governmental bodies to ensure smooth and compliant cross-border trade.Key ResponsibilitiesCustoms Compliance:Collaborate globally on customs valuation analysis aligned with internal transfer pricing (TP) structures.Review import/export documentation to ensure compliance with local and international customs regulations.Work with global customs brokers and authorities to resolve clearance issues.Act as a subject matter expert on global customs valuation matters.Free Trade Agreements (FTAs):Analyze and interpret global FTA rules of origin and eligibility criteria.Coordinate with suppliers to obtain and validate origin documentation, such as Certificates of Origin.Maintain documentation and audit trails to support FTA claims and duty savings.Identify opportunities for ASM to reduce global import duties.ACVA:Assist with ACVA engagements and review annual ACVA reports, including voluntary amendments as applicable.Customs Audit:Prepare and support ad-hoc inquiries and audits conducted by global customs authorities.
