Mission of the Role
As the Senior Lead for Supply Chain Sustainability, you will play a crucial role in steering ASM’s long-term climate objectives by spearheading the strategy and execution of our supply chain decarbonization initiatives. Your work will encompass collaboration across the global semiconductor landscape—uniting suppliers, internal teams, and industry coalitions—to expedite our transition to a low-carbon, resilient supply chain in accordance with ASM’s Climate Transition Plan. Additionally, this role involves providing daily coaching and mentorship to the supply chain sustainability team, ensuring alignment and capability enhancement across all supply chain ESG programs and resources. Your technical expertise, industry acumen, and capacity to influence without direct authority will be instrumental in shaping the future of sustainable manufacturing within one of the most critical high-tech sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic execution of ASM’s supply chain decarbonization roadmap in alignment with SBTi-validated Net Zero targets.
- Collaborate with Global Supply Chain to integrate carbon-intensity targets and sustainability criteria into supplier selection, evaluation, and contracting processes.
- Advance ASM’s participation in the Schneider Electric Catalyze program, focusing on supplier recruitment and training for renewable energy Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).
- Explore opportunities for Ecodesign and sustainable materials within the product portfolio, emphasizing low-carbon and circular procurement practices.
- Design and implement capability-building programs for internal supply chain teams and key suppliers on advanced sustainability topics.
- Oversee the SCORE program, serving as a technical advisor to suppliers on renewable energy adoption and carbon-reduction strategies.
- Develop and maintain ASM’s Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) methodology by connecting complex Bill of Materials (BOM) data to verified life-cycle emission factors.
