We currently have an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Lead Mechanical Engineer - Mining and Metals to join our Mechanical Resources Team. In collaboration with the broader Energy and Resources team, you will be responsible for leading a variety of multidisciplinary projects primarily in the mining sector and managing a regional group focused on mining and metals across Western Canada.
Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as the mechanical manager for medium to large-scale studies and projects, directly supervising engineers, designers, and project stakeholders.
- Engage in the design and development of specifications for equipment, including crushers, screens, conveyors, hoppers, transfer chutes, rotary kilns, and more.
- Contribute to the design of material handling systems, crushing plants, hydrometallurgical processes, and concentrators, addressing processes like flotation, leaching, filtration, solvent extraction, and tailings processing.
- Ensure multidisciplinary coordination to create plant layouts that meet industry standards and best practices set by our clients.
- Deliver mechanical engineering solutions in accordance with established scopes, estimated hours, scheduled dates, and quality expectations aligned with company standards.
- Act as a mentor within the industrial mechanics team.
- Influence the execution plans for brownfield projects.
