Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Project Manager, you will oversee the entire project lifecycle, crafting detailed project plans that encompass timelines, resource distribution, budgeting, and risk management. You will act as the main liaison for stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and alignment throughout the project phases.
Your role includes building and guiding cross-functional teams, encouraging collaboration and accountability, while also mentoring junior project managers and team members. You will identify and mitigate project risks proactively, develop risk management strategies, and make analytical decisions to maintain project momentum.
Furthermore, you will establish and monitor key performance indicators, providing consistent updates and reports to executive leadership. Your expertise will also extend to managing project finances and resource allocation, optimizing efficiency and maximizing ROI, while adhering to organizational methodologies and best practices.
Qualifications
Essential Skills
Applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, coupled with 7+ years of project management experience demonstrating a successful track record in delivering complex projects. Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or similar are advantageous, with Agile/Scrum certifications being highly preferred.
Expert knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices is essential, along with proficiency in project management software like Jira or Asana. Strong leadership skills and experience managing cross-functional teams of 10 or more members are critical, as are exceptional communication and interpersonal skills capable of influencing at all organizational levels.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience managing project budgets exceeding $1 million, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Skills
Experience within our industry or domain, an advanced degree (MBA or Master's), and familiarity with change management and organizational transformation initiatives will be considered a plus. A background in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies, along with vendor and external partner management experience, is also advantageous.
