Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

The Senior HR Business Partner at Luminis Health supports human resources strategy for specific business units in Annapolis, MD. This position covers a wide range of HR functions, including employee relations, policy interpretation, organizational design, workforce planning, talent management, recruitment, compensation, and leave management. Close collaboration with HR Centers of Excellence (COE) is central to the role, with a focus on developing and executing effective people management practices.

Main Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main HR contact for employees and leaders within assigned business units, working with HR COE partners as needed.
  • Support business unit leaders in rolling out HR processes and practices, including managing complex, cross-functional projects.
  • Advise leadership on people management topics such as retention, engagement, rewards and recognition, compensation, coaching, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Respond to employee concerns involving policy interpretation, discrimination or harassment claims, and disputes about employment actions. Prepare thorough reports on findings.
  • Assist leaders in creating job descriptions and shaping organizational structures.
  • Apply compensation principles to address questions, promote equity, develop hiring guidelines, and work with the Compensation team on career progression frameworks.
