About the job
The climate crisis is the defining challenge of our time, representing not just a threat but a remarkable opportunity for innovation. At Overstory, we are at the forefront of this challenge, utilizing state-of-the-art technology to facilitate a resilient electrical grid that supports and sustains communities in an evolving world.
The electrical grid is essential to our daily lives, powering hospitals, preserving food, and ensuring connectivity within our communities. However, it faces immense pressure from extreme weather events, aging infrastructure, and escalating wildfire risks. This situation presents an unprecedented opportunity within the electric utility sector to combat climate change.
One significant contributor to catastrophic wildfires and power outages is the interference of trees and brush with power lines.
That's where Overstory steps in. We leverage AI and advanced satellite imagery to accurately identify and prioritize vegetation risks before they lead to issues. By providing utilities with essential analyses of these risks, we contribute to preventing outages, mitigating wildfire threats, and expediting the transition to a more secure and resilient grid.
Our diverse team spans the Americas and Europe, collaborating with utility partners worldwide. We are outdoor enthusiasts, artists, athletes, parents, and adventurers—united by a shared passion for solving complex challenges, a commitment to climate action, and the belief that technology can serve as a force for good.
Join us in our mission to build a more resilient world together.
