Qualifications

Responsibilities: Define, prototype, and validate advanced metrics that provide new insights into model performance evaluation for autonomy subsystems (primarily focused on perception, prediction, and planning). Evaluate existing training and testing coverage, and curate test sets that adequately capture Motional’s intended deployment operational design domain across various axes (agent types, interaction types, map/spatial, etc.). Assess machine learning model performance against established metrics and tests. Analyze system-level performance and the contribution of subsystems to overall system behavior through large-scale data analysis of on-road and simulation events. Establish performance requirements for autonomy subsystems and support continuous improvement efforts.

About the job

Location: Remote U. S.

Motional develops autonomous driving technology, focusing on safety, reliability, and accessibility. Backed by Hyundai Motor Group, Motional works to advance driverless vehicles and aims to make streets safer while supporting sustainable mobility.
