About the job
About OLIX
As artificial intelligence evolves at an unprecedented pace, the demand for advanced computing solutions has surged, revealing a critical infrastructure gap in the industry. Traditional hardware designs, which have remained unchanged for over a decade, can no longer meet the escalating needs of AI applications. At OLIX, we are pioneering the next generation of computing technology with our Optical Tensor Processing Unit (OTPU), designed to deliver unmatched performance and energy efficiency that surpasses existing chip technologies.
The Role
We are on the lookout for a seasoned Senior Electronics Engineer to join our team and play a vital role in developing high-speed, mixed-signal, and power-dense electronics that will be integral to OLIX's optical computing platforms. In this position, you will collaborate with diverse teams, including ASIC, FPGA, Optical, Mechanical, Firmware, and Systems, to create robust and energy-efficient hardware accelerators, including advanced PCIe-based platforms and systems capable of operating at speeds exceeding 25–56Gb/s.
You will report to the Electronics Engineering Manager and be involved in both practical execution and strategic technical direction across board-level and subsystem design.
Responsibilities
Design and develop high-speed multilayer PCBs that support serial interfaces operating at 25–56Gb/s+ (e.g., PCIe Gen4/Gen5, SERDES-based links).
Implement and validate high-current, low-voltage power delivery networks for ASICs and FPGAs.
Conduct signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) analysis during schematic and layout phases.
Contribute to PCB stack-ups, routing constraints, impedance control strategies, and return path methodologies.
Engage in lab-based board bring-up, debugging, and high-speed compliance validation.
Assist in the integration of analog front-ends, clock architectures, and mixed-signal subsystems.
Collaborate across teams to ensure optimal system performance, manufacturability, and reliability.
Support EVT/DVT/PVT builds and transition to production while producing thorough design documentation and validation reports.
