About the Role

As the Lead Data Scientist in Product Analytics, you will be pivotal in influencing our product strategy through comprehensive data analysis, visualization, modeling, and experimentation. Collaborating closely with product managers, your insights will directly shape the journey for users striving to overcome debt and regain financial stability.

What You’ll Work On

You will serve as a strategic partner to product managers, empowering them to make informed, data-centric decisions, conduct experiments, and assess the evolution of our critical success metrics. You will develop expertise in our datasets, providing impactful recommendations to enhance our products and processes. Additionally, you will help bolster January’s reputation as a sophisticated, data-focused collection agency, collaborating with the operations team to ensure our client success managers are well-equipped to address inquiries and engage in client conversations seamlessly.


What You Bring to the Table

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience utilizing SQL for data analysis

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for conducting advanced statistical analyses

  • Strong medium to advanced knowledge of statistics related to experimentation

  • Ability to present data compellingly, enabling product and engineering teams to make superior decisions

  • Strategic thinker, considering the broader impact of your work on January’s overall success

  • Self-starter; able to independently explore and provide insightful recommendations based on data
