Position Overview:
We are on the lookout for a highly knowledgeable Senior Data Scientist who will take charge of designing, constructing, and implementing cutting-edge machine learning and natural language processing (NLP) solutions, including applications based on large language models. The successful candidate will possess significant production experience, deep understanding of transformer architectures, and the capability to spearhead technical projects from inception through to deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Learning & NLP Development
- Craft and develop comprehensive machine learning models, with a strong emphasis on NLP applications.
- Fine-tune and deploy large language models, including GPT, BERT, and LLaMA, tailored for specific applications.
- Construct, train, and assess deep learning models utilizing frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
- Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and embedding-based semantic search solutions.
- Enhance and optimize transformer-based models for tasks such as summarization, Q&A, and document intelligence.
- Assess and refine prompt engineering strategies for improved context efficiency.
Data Engineering & Pipelines
- Develop robust data pipelines utilizing tools such as Airflow, Spark, or Dataiku.
- Engage in data wrangling and preprocessing using libraries like pandas and NumPy.
- Design and oversee feature stores.
- Integrate and manage vector databases such as Pinecone, FAISS, or Chroma.
Model Deployment & Production
- Establish and maintain RESTful APIs for deploying ML models in production environments.
- Implement scalable AI services and manage continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Monitor model performance, including drift detection and lifecycle management.
- Conduct A/B testing, ensemble blending, and utilize explainability techniques such as SHAP and LIME.
Statistical & Analytical Expertise
- Utilize advanced statistics, probability theory, and experimental design.
- Conduct hypothesis testing and data-driven analyses to inform business decisions.
Collaboration & Integration
- Collaborate effectively with product and engineering teams to integrate AI solutions into production systems.
- Work alongside cross-functional stakeholders to deliver scalable AI capabilities.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience in machine learning and data science roles.
- Demonstrated history of delivering production-grade ML and NLP projects.
- Experience in leading small data science teams or technical projects.
