The Role
As a Senior Data Engineer at Triumph Arcade, you will be pivotal in shaping our data infrastructure at a time of significant growth. This role demands a robust and scalable data system, crucial for managing real money transactions, matchmaking, and payouts across our gaming platform.
As the inaugural dedicated data engineering hire, you will have full ownership over the data stack, encompassing ingestion, transformation, warehouse architecture, and the reliability of pipelines. Collaborating closely with both the quantitative strategy team and agile engineering teams, you will establish the foundational systems that drive our success.
What You'll Do
Lead the architecture and management of our data warehouse, optimizing our BigQuery environment for performance, cost efficiency, and reliability as user growth accelerates.
Oversee the transformation layers, managing our dbt project from end-to-end, ensuring the conversion of raw event streams into clean, reliable datasets.
Construct and maintain robust data pipelines with effective orchestration, monitoring, alerting, and recovery measures to prevent silent failures.
Design and implement real-time data systems to facilitate immediate insights for live game economics, risk assessments, and player behavior during sessions.
Enable reverse ETL and production integration to connect model outputs back into our product, influencing real-time decision-making.
