About the RoleAs a Senior Building Surveyor, you will be a pivotal member of our esteemed Building Safety Team. With a commitment to integrity and professionalism, you will offer consultancy services that uphold the highest standards while supporting clients throughout each project's lifecycle.Your Daily Responsibilities Include:Managing a diverse portfolio of fire door and compartmentation remediation projects.Delivering expert, technical advice to clients on fire safety issues across various commercial properties.Contributing to Building Safety Case Reports for clients, coordinating with Principal Accountable Persons and the Building Safety Regulator.Commissioning and overseeing external consultants and contractors, analyzing their reports, and advising clients on technical challenges, remediation strategies, and compliance solutions.Assisting in the preparation of documentation for regulatory bodies, including the Building Safety Regulator.Building and nurturing strong relationships with our existing client portfolio and collaborating with internal Property and Facilities Managers to provide top-notch professional guidance.Key Competencies for Success:An ability to interpret complex Building Safety reports and a thorough understanding of critical Building Safety legislation are essential for this role. You should be adept at managing multiple Building Safety instructions, showcasing your capacity to work within established timelines while keeping clients updated regularly.Experience working on Higher-Risk Buildings and Building Safety Cases, along with familiarity with Gateway 2 applications, is a must.What We Expect From You:You should hold MRICS or FRICS chartered status. Additional qualifications in Fire Safety, Building Control, or other Health & Safety areas are highly desirable.Demonstrated experience with various standard forms of contracts in a Building Safety Remediation context.A proven track record of fire safety experience in either commercial or residential properties, preferably within a consultancy or public sector environment.A strong knowledge of Passive Fire Protection systems, including Fire Doors and Compartmentation, with the ability to interpret construction details effectively.
