We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Backend to architect, develop, and scale the critical systems that underpin Parker’s financial platform. In this pivotal leadership role, you will influence backend architecture, data infrastructure, and engineering best practices during our growth phase.
You will work collaboratively with Product, Infrastructure, and Data teams to deliver high-performance, reliable systems that handle billions in transactions and empower thousands of merchants. This high-impact position is ideal for engineers who thrive on ownership, relish the challenge of complex systems, and prioritize elegant, maintainable solutions.
What You’ll Do:
Design and scale backend services that drive Parker’s financial products and APIs.
Lead architectural strategies to guarantee performance, reliability, and scalability across our systems.
Develop and maintain services in a modern cloud-native environment (Node.js, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS).
Collaborate with product and infrastructure teams to create secure, user-friendly APIs and data models.
Promote engineering excellence through code reviews, mentorship, and architectural guidance.
Identify performance issues and spearhead initiatives to enhance reliability, observability, and system design.
Contribute to the advancement of Parker’s technical roadmap and long-term engineering vision.
