As a Seasonal Host at Soho House, you will be one of the first points of contact for our esteemed members, guests, and staff, setting the tone for their dining experience. Your role will encompass warmly greeting guests, managing incoming calls, and efficiently creating reservations for our Club and dining establishments. We are looking for someone with exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills that foster a positive atmosphere from the moment guests enter until they leave.

In your position as a Host, you will also have the opportunity to mentor other reception team members, ensuring they adhere to the service standards established at Soho House. Mastery of our phone system, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to prepare for anticipated covers during service will be essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome every member and guest by name, when applicable, ensuring new guests feel embraced and valued.
  • Handle high-volume phone lines, providing accurate information regarding menus, operating hours, and amenities, along with taking reservations for our restaurant, rooftop, and cinema.
  • Assist Food & Beverage Managers on the floor by upholding service standards and executing service protocols.
  • Maintain a friendly, precise, and discreet communication style in all interactions.
  • Collaborate with the reception team to ensure exceptional service for all members, fostering open communication to manage expectations.
  • Build rapport with members and guests, sharing feedback with management for continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to a fun and inviting atmosphere by being approachable and professional.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by your supervisor or manager.
