Minimum Required Qualifications:A minimum of 10 years of experience in project or program scheduling for large construction programs. A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Additional relevant experience may substitute for educational qualifications on a year-for-year basis. Advanced proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera and MS Office Suite, including Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Strong understanding of cost engineering principles and scheduling practices. Experience conducting time impact analyses and managing construction claims and change orders. Flexibility in scheduling and transportation to support project needs.

The Tsui Group is currently seeking a highly qualified and experienced Scheduler IV to join our team, focusing on educational facility construction projects for a prominent educational client in Los Angeles County. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating the development of project schedules aligned with established execution philosophies.
  • Conducting thorough reviews of contractor schedules to ensure compliance and quality assurance.
  • Assessing the impact of contract change orders and amendments on project budgets and timelines.
  • Executing time impact analyses to address project delays and potential claims.
  • Participating in change order negotiations and discussions.
  • Performing Critical Path and Earned Value analyses to track project progress.
  • Identifying scheduling issues during project execution and recommending effective corrective actions and innovative solutions.
  • Conducting on-site visits to evaluate construction progress and report findings.
  • Reviewing contractor’s weekly and monthly schedule updates, preparing narrative summaries, and presenting them to management for informed decision-making.
  • Evaluating contractor recovery schedules for effectiveness.
  • Performing cost analyses throughout the design and construction phases of capital projects.
  • Analyzing actual expenditures against budget projections.
  • Preparing cost-loaded schedules to facilitate detailed cash flow forecasting.
  • Interpreting and applying contracts, policies, and procedures in compliance with Build LACCD guidelines.
  • Exhibiting excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrating flexibility in scheduling and transportation to work across multiple project sites as required.
  • Thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
