This role entails a variety of responsibilities, including: Providing comprehensive construction oversight to Owner’s Authorized Representatives (OARs) Resolving intricate issues, disputes, and disagreements related to construction projects Developing, assigning, and monitoring performance metrics for OARs concerning assigned construction projects Assessing and reviewing the overall progress of construction projects against submitted schedules Evaluating change orders from various construction projects and determining their impact on the District Collaborating with Regional Directors and Facilities management personnel on bidding and contract planning Assessing bid specifications to ensure alignment with District needs and completion timelines Monitoring variances of the construction project database in relation to scheduling and cost control Reviewing and verifying payment applications while managing the fiscal aspects of multiple construction projects Providing functional direction over construction project schedules, cost control, dispute resolution, contract administration, and quality assurance Overseeing the administration of contracts with architects and associated consultants Coordinating program activities with various District organizational divisions, including Environmental Health and Safety, Design and A/E Technical Support, Asset Management, Facilities Contract Administration, Inspection Unit, Maintenance and Operations, and local districts Taking appropriate actions on disputes related to construction projects Formulating and recommending internal policies and procedures Performing additional related duties as assigned
