About the job
About Sent
Sent provides a pioneering infrastructure for delivering A2P messages across SMS, WhatsApp, and RCS via a single, streamlined API. Our advanced routing model optimizes channel selection based on deliverability and cost, enabling affordable global outreach without the need for channel-specific integrations.
Having successfully secured a $5.1M Seed round led by Companyon Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners, UIF, and CEAS Investments, we are eager to expand our team to develop the ultimate infrastructure that will replace traditional multi-channel messaging stacks.
About the Role
We are in search of our inaugural Sales Engineer—an individual early in their career, ideally with a technical background in engineering or computer science, who thrives in engaging conversations. Whether you're a software engineer frequently drawn into client discussions, a CS graduate who enjoyed the hackathon presentation more than the coding, or a technical support engineer looking for a more strategic role, we want someone who loves transforming complex concepts into relatable solutions.
This is a foundational role where you will collaborate closely with our Head of GTM to manage the technical aspects of every deal, including live demos, proof-of-concept builds, integration architecture, and objection handling. You will play a crucial role in shaping the initial experience of technical buyers engaging with Sent.
What You'll Do
Conduct live product demonstrations and in-depth technical discussions for developer and product audiences.
Develop proof-of-concept integrations during or between prospect calls, demonstrating your ability to quickly create working examples to facilitate deals.
Convert Sent's API functionalities into tailored solutions for specific messaging workflows such as transactional SMS, WhatsApp conversational flows, OTP delivery, and marketing campaigns.
Establish and manage demo environments, sample applications, and integration documentation that streamline the sales process.
Create technical content that supports the sales cycle, including solution briefs, architecture diagrams, competitive analyses, and integration playbooks.
Work alongside engineering and product teams to communicate insights gained from prospects regarding feature requests, developer experience challenges, and competitive intelligence.
Assist with RFP/RFI submissions and security questionnaires as required.
Contribute to the establishment of the Sales Engineering function from the ground up, developing playbooks, tools, and processes that will scale with our growth.
