Role overview
Prevail is searching for a Sales Director to join the team in London, reporting directly to the Commercial Director. This role will work in close partnership with the Executive Team. As Prevail continues to expand, the Sales Director will help drive revenue and lay the groundwork for a scalable sales function in the defence and security sector.
What you will do
This position shapes and delivers the sales strategy, balancing immediate results with long-term growth. The Sales Director identifies and engages new customers for Prevail’s product suite, strengthens relationships with current clients, and explores opportunities in new markets. Early responsibilities are hands-on: winning new business, converting an active pipeline, and forming key partnerships. Over time, the focus shifts to building and leading a sales team, setting go-to-market plans, and expanding Prevail’s reach in government, commercial, and international markets.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Commercial Director, Director of Defence and National Security, and commercial and marketing teams to define and deliver sales strategy for core sectors
- Balance new business development with nurturing and expanding the existing sales pipeline
- Consistently achieve sales targets and support company growth
Short-term focus
- Secure new business and build strategic client relationships
- Convert and grow the current sales pipeline
- Develop a repeatable sales process from prospecting to closing, ensuring commercial and delivery teams are aligned
Long-term impact
- Build and lead a high-performing sales team, including Account Managers and Sales Managers
- Expand Prevail’s regional presence and client coverage
- Establish a high-standard sales function
- Contribute to the broader commercial leadership of the business
