Key Responsibilities:Design and execute strategies to attract and convert outbound leads into viable sales opportunities. Enhance lead qualification and sales conversion rates utilizing effective sales tools and technologies. Partner with marketing teams to ensure alignment of outbound sales strategies with marketing campaigns and initiatives. Guide, mentor, and develop a high-achieving outbound sales team. Establish performance metrics, track outcomes, and provide regular updates on sales activities, pipeline status, and results. Analyze trends and insights to refine sales strategies and boost overall performance. Stay informed about industry trends, competitor actions, and market conditions to adapt strategies as needed. Qualifications:2+ years of experience in sales or sales development in the SaaS industry (management or team lead experience preferred). Proficient with a growing tech stack: SFDC, Salesloft, Chilipiper, Gong.io, etc. Experience in SaaS sales to SMBs (both inbound and outbound). Ability to secure team buy-in on organizational sales goals. Demonstrated skills in collaboration, persuasion, and coaching/mentorship. A positive attitude and self-starter mentality; capable of navigating change management effectively. Strong understanding of various solution-selling methodologies and best practices. Exhibit leadership, creativity, and analytical skills while taking ownership of your work. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Role overview

The Sales Development Manager will oversee outbound sales strategies and lead a team of sales development representatives. The main focus is on guiding the team to meet targets and expanding the sales development function as Shopmonkey grows.

  • Lead and mentor a team of sales development representatives working on outbound sales
  • Coach both new and experienced team members to help them meet or exceed quotas
  • Contribute to the growth and scaling of the sales development team

Requirements

  • Demonstrated success in meeting sales quotas and achieving strong sales results
  • Experience coaching sales representatives at various stages in their careers
  • Background in building or scaling a sales development team

Location and work arrangement

This hybrid role is based in the San Francisco area. The position requires in-office attendance two days per week at the Larkspur, California office.
