About the Role:
In the role of Sales Development Manager at Decagon, you will play a pivotal part in recruiting, training, and developing a high-performing team of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) to enhance our top-of-funnel pipeline and accelerate sales growth. You will lead and manage a team of 6-10 SDRs focused on account-based prospecting, multi-threaded outreach, and the sophisticated qualification of enterprise opportunities. Close collaboration with Go-to-Market leadership will be crucial as you fine-tune outreach strategies, streamline processes, and cultivate the next generation of sales talent.
This position is ideally suited for individuals who are passionate about shaping and optimizing the sales development process within a dynamic startup environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and expand a team of 6-10 BDRs concentrating on Enterprise and Strategic segments.
Recruit and train new SDRs on Decagon’s offerings, customer profiles, competitive landscape, and operational tools.
Foster a high-performance culture by overseeing daily operations and managing the quota performance of individual SDRs.
Design and implement career development plans for direct reports, including daily mentoring, coaching on time management, objection handling, prospecting strategies, and active listening skills.
Collaborate with cross-functional leaders and partners in Sales, RevOps, and Marketing to drive pipeline and prospecting initiatives that surpass company objectives.
Provide performance reports and forecasts to senior leadership.
