The Fleet Operations Team is committed to maximizing uptime and operational excellence across Formic’s expanding fleet of robotic systems. Operating within active manufacturing environments, this team identifies issues, restores production, and continually enhances system reliability on a large scale. Fleet Operations is at the convergence of robotics, controls, and practical factory execution, ensuring that Formic’s automation solutions consistently deliver measurable performance across various industrial applications.

Your Role:

As a Robotics Field Service Engineer, you will be the first point of technical ownership for Formic’s deployed robotic cells. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing failures, restoring systems to operational status, executing preventative and corrective maintenance, and representing Formic on-site at customer facilities.

This is a hands-on role that requires accountability in uptime-critical settings. Success in this position hinges on strong troubleshooting skills, a composed approach during production disruptions, and meticulous documentation practices. Your contributions will directly influence fleet performance, customer satisfaction, and the long-term reliability of our systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance on robotic manufacturing cells.
  • Address remote and on-site escalations, identify root causes, and swiftly restore systems.
  • Deliver hands-on technical support to customer operators and maintenance teams.
  • Document service activities and maintain asset updates.
