§ High school diploma or HSE required, along with 12-18 months of relevant experience.§ Previous supervisory experience in a residential setting is preferred but not mandatory.§ Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is REQUIRED.§ Strong knowledge of OPWDD regulations and the field of developmental disabilities is essential.§ Ability to effectively plan, organize, and implement program policies and procedures in a timely manner.§ Excellent interpersonal skills to interact diplomatically with staff, residents, families, visitors, government agencies, and the public.§ A valid New York State Tri-State driver's license in good standing for over one year with minimal violations is required for most positions.

AHRC NYC is excited to announce openings for Residential Assistant Managers (RAM) across all five boroughs of New York City. As a RAM, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Residence Manager and collaborating with the management team to ensure the effective operation of our community residential programs.

Salary: $43,000 - $45,700 annually, with opportunities for overtime. Additionally, a bonus of $750 per year will be awarded for positions requiring driving, contingent upon successful completion of the AHRC NYC Defensive Driving course. This position also offers an extensive benefits package, including FULL MEDICAL INSURANCE at NO COST to you and additional perks outlined below.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations relevant to the facility's operations.
  • Provide direct supervision and mentorship to direct support staff, collaborating with the Residence Manager on performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as necessary.
  • Assist in staff scheduling and provide coverage for direct support services as needed.
  • Oversee the smooth operation of the residence, maintaining adherence to agency policies regarding facility maintenance, fire safety, and documentation of residents’ and personnel files.
  • Work with the Residence Manager to develop individualized service plans for each resident, ensuring that services are aligned with their preferences and needs.
  • When overseeing medical services, collaborate with clinical staff to manage medical care activities, including maintaining medical records and supporting residents in attending appointments.
  • Ensure that residents’ basic needs are met, including food, clothing, hygiene items, and personal belongings.
  • Act as a liaison with Treatment Coordinators to assess the quality of treatment services and residential outcomes, participating in team meetings to review progress.
  • Collaborate with the Residence Manager to propose new ideas and enhance service delivery.
