Datacom is seeking a Release Manager to guide application release management for its internal ServiceNow platform. This permanent, full-time position is part of the Core Services team and plays a central role in ensuring releases are delivered safely, predictably, and in line with Datacom’s governance, security, and operational requirements.
The main focus is on ServiceNow, covering upgrades, enhancements, integrations, and configuration changes. Over time, there may be opportunities to extend release management practices to other enterprise platforms. The Release Manager works closely with platform governance, change enablement, delivery, and operations, balancing the need for stability with ongoing improvement.

What you will do
- Manage the full release lifecycle for ServiceNow, from planning and scheduling through deployment, validation, and post-release review
- Develop and refine release management processes to align with Datacom’s Change Enablement, security, and SDLC standards
- Maintain release calendars, manage interdependencies, and resolve conflicts across teams and initiatives
- Collaborate with ServiceNow platform teams, project delivery, operations, change advisory boards, and vendors to ensure low-risk releases
- Ensure all aspects of release readiness, including:
- Completion of testing and quality assurance
- Security, privacy, and compliance checks
- Support and operational readiness
- Planning for implementation, rollback, and communications
- Proactively manage risks, issues, and escalations related to releases to minimize disruption
- Promote continuous improvement in release and change practices using metrics, retrospectives, and lessons learned
- Integrate release processes with related Datacom processes, such as ITIL, project delivery, and platform governance
