Figma is hiring a Rapid Researcher to support product teams by connecting them with users and delivering actionable insights. This position is available in San Francisco, New York, or remotely within the United States. The Rapid Researcher will play a key part in shaping product direction by providing clear recommendations grounded in user research.

Role overview

This role is part of Figma’s Rapid Research program. The focus is on gathering user feedback throughout the product lifecycle and sharing those findings with cross-functional teams. The work directly influences product decisions by translating user needs into practical recommendations.

What you will do

  • Work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to collect and share user feedback at different stages of development.
  • Use a variety of research methods to uncover insights that inform product improvements.
  • Rotate between product areas, quickly adapting to new teams and building relationships.
  • Turn research findings into recommendations that guide strategy and product direction.
  • Promote open communication with user communities and support a human-centered approach to development.

Requirements

  • Experience using multiple research methodologies and the ability to choose the right one for each project.
  • Strong communication skills with a knack for quickly building trust with new teams.
  • Comfortable working in new settings and moving between different product areas.
  • Interest in shaping product strategy through research, not just reporting observations.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for design, collaboration, and improving team workflows.

Location and work arrangement

This is a full-time position. Work from Figma’s offices in San Francisco or New York, or remotely from anywhere in the United States.
