Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field, complemented by at least 6 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Professional Engineer (PE) license. A valid U. S. Driver’s License is required to visit project sites and clients. The selected candidate must pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records review as a condition of employment. Preferred Qualifications:10 years of experience in railway systems, specifically in Overhead Catenary Systems and Traction Power.6 years of experience in related railway fields (including overhead catenary systems, traction power, and track). Proficient in AutoCAD, Microstation, GEOPAK, OpenRoads, or OpenRail. Experience collaborating with organizations such as the Connecticut Department of Transportation, Metro-North Railroad, Amtrak, and MBTA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute significantly to our WORLD CLASS RAIL DESIGN team.
  • Create overhead catenary systems layout drawings, profiles, hanger tabulations, erection diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Conduct quality control reviews and design checks on railroad-related projects.
  • Lead major project tasks and ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to Overhead Catenary Systems (OCS).
  • Act as project manager for mid to large-scale projects.
  • Coordinate team efforts and provide technical expertise on project scopes.
  • Mentor junior staff to foster a supportive environment for growth throughout New England and beyond.
  • Possess strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Build and maintain robust relationships with clients.
