Educational/Experience Requirements:Completion of a two-year radiological technology program from an AMA accredited institution. Required License/Certifications:Current certification in diagnostic radiography from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Active State of Maryland licensure is mandatory. Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR from the American Heart Association.

Luminis Health is hiring an entry-level Radiologic Technologist I in Annapolis, MD. This position centers on performing routine radiographic procedures with attention to patient safety and quality care. Each procedure is tailored to meet individual patient needs while following established protocols.

Main responsibilities

  • Process radiographic films, confirm patient demographics and technical details, and evaluate the technical quality of images produced.
  • Complete procedures efficiently, ensuring results meet quality standards and are documented accurately and on time.
  • Monitor patient status during procedures, provide first aid if needed, and assist physicians in emergencies or when patients have adverse reactions.
  • Implement radiation protection measures for patients and complete all required radiation safety training.
  • Collaborate with management to suggest improvements, report concerns, and provide feedback to enhance patient care and technical quality.
  • Track inventory in the assigned area and alert management to any shortages.
  • Keep work areas stocked each shift, check expiration dates on supplies, and address supply issues as they arise.
  • Support clinical education for students on rotation and help orient new staff as needed.
  • Take on additional tasks as assigned, including billing and quality assurance duties.
  • Maintain current licensure, complete continuing medical education, and participate in required training to meet regulatory standards.
