Educational/Experience Requirements:Completion of an accredited two-year radiologic technology program approved by the AMA. Required License/Certifications:Current certification in diagnostic radiography from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Valid State of Maryland licensure. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

The Radiologic Technologist I at Luminis Health in Annapolis, MD performs routine radiographic procedures, following established safety and quality protocols. This position supports patient care by ensuring imaging standards are consistently met and patient needs are addressed throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process radiographic films, confirm patient demographics and technical details, and assess the quality of images produced.
  • Conduct procedures in line with quality standards, ensuring all required information is present on images and documentation.
  • Monitor patients during imaging, provide first aid when necessary, and assist physicians during emergencies or adverse reactions.
  • Apply radiation protection standards for patients and complete required radiation safety training.
  • Collaborate with management to suggest improvements, report concerns, and offer feedback to enhance patient care and technical quality.
  • Track inventory in assigned areas, notify management of shortages, and restock supplies each shift.
  • Monitor supply expiration dates and take appropriate action as needed.
  • Support clinical education for rotating students and assist in orienting new staff as required.
  • Perform additional tasks such as billing and quality assurance as assigned.
  • Maintain active licensure and fulfill continuing education requirements according to regulatory standards.
