Educational/Experience Requirements:Completion of a two-year radiological technology program from an AMA-approved educational institution. Required License/Certifications:Current certification in diagnostic radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Active State of Maryland licensure. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

The Radiologic Technologist - Float Pool at Luminis Health provides radiographic imaging services across various hospital departments in Annapolis, MD. This role focuses on performing routine radiographic procedures while upholding established safety and quality standards for a diverse patient population.

Main Responsibilities

  • Carry out radiographic exams, confirming patient demographics and verifying technical details and image quality.
  • Complete imaging procedures efficiently, maintaining accuracy and a high standard of patient care.
  • Ensure all required information is entered in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) for the Radiologist's review.
  • Monitor patient condition during procedures, provide first aid as needed, and assist physicians during emergencies or adverse reactions.
  • Follow radiation protection protocols for every patient and participate in mandatory radiation safety training.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to suggest improvements, report concerns, and provide feedback that supports patient care and technical quality.
  • Track and replenish medical supplies in assigned areas, notifying supervisors of shortages when necessary.
  • Support the clinical education of students rotating through the department.
  • Maintain proficiency in the Operating Room (OR) by regularly rotating through and performing a variety of examinations.
  • Participate in department quality improvement activities, including huddles, tracking metrics, and contributing to new initiatives.
