Qualifications:Degree in engineering (civil, structural, or a related discipline). PMP certification is highly desirable. Over 10 years of project management experience in complex infrastructure projects, particularly in hydropower, pumped storage, dams, heavy civil works, or major conveyance systems. Experience in the USA/Canada and ANZ regions is an asset. Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams across various offices and time zones. Experience in design-build or fast-paced delivery environments with frequent design changes. Strong skills in schedule management, resource planning, cost awareness, and change control. Technical proficiency to manage interfaces across civil, structural, geotechnical, hydraulics/hydrology, and underground disciplines.

Join our innovative and dynamic consultancy team as a Project Manager / Design Manager specializing in Major Water Infrastructure. We seek a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our design initiatives, focusing on hydropower, pumped storage, dams, heavy civil works, underground projects, and major conveyance systems.

The successful candidate will excel in managing complex design processes, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and delivering high-quality solutions for major water infrastructure programs, supporting clients and stakeholders effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership in Civil Infrastructure Design:
    • Steer the design process for civil infrastructure projects, from planning through execution to project closure.
    • Mobilize a diverse team across multiple countries, ensuring effective collaboration among disciplines such as civil, structural, geotechnical, hydraulics/hydrology, tunneling, and digital/BIM.
    • Clearly define project scope and manage it efficiently, converting program requirements into actionable work packages with defined assumptions, exclusions, and deliverables.
    • Devise comprehensive project strategies and plans that align with client objectives.
    • Establish a detailed delivery plan, monitor staffing forecasts, and track milestones against program timelines, ensuring proactive action tracking and weekly status updates.
    • Lead the project team through intricate technical challenges, promoting innovative and viable solutions.
  2. Coordination of Multidisciplinary Teams:
    • Inspire and manage multidisciplinary design teams, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
    • Ensure seamless integration of various engineering disciplines within the design process, coordinating all aspects of grading, drainage, structural systems, and seepage control.
    • Work closely with department heads to allocate resources effectively and meet project demands.
    • Collaborate with various offices for multidisciplinary and multicenter projects.
    • Oversee the application of digital tools and workflows to maintain consistent model production and drawing standards.
  3. Management of Design Processes:
    • Supervise all design stages from concept to final delivery, guaranteeing compliance with project timelines and specifications.
    • Manage technical interfaces across multiple disciplines, ensuring quality and completeness of deliverables.
