Required QualificationsUniversity degree in Civil Engineering. Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ). Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, including municipal and/or provincial projects. Excellent knowledge of applicable technical standards and guidelines (MTMD, BNQ, municipal standards). Strong project management and interdisciplinary coordination skills. Analytical mindset, technical rigor, and attention to detail. Natural leadership and ability to share knowledge. AssetsExperience in designing active mobility infrastructure (bike lanes, widened sidewalks, safe intersections).10 years or more of relevant experience.

AECOM is seeking a talented Project Engineer to play a pivotal role in the planning, design, and execution of significant road infrastructure projects at both municipal and provincial levels. In this essential position, you will be involved at every stage of project development while actively mentoring and fostering the growth of junior engineers.

Main Responsibilities

  • Design, analyze, and enhance road projects, including longitudinal and cross profiles, road geometry, interconnections, intersections, as well as cycling and pedestrian facilities, and surface drainage.
  • Develop technical plans and specifications ensuring compliance with applicable standards, guidelines, and requirements (MTMD, BNQ, municipal standards).
  • Coordinate design activities with other disciplines (hydraulics, structures, environment, traffic).
  • Advise clients and stakeholders on optimal technical solutions considering budgetary, regulatory, and environmental constraints.
  • Guide, coach, and support intermediate engineers, interns, and technicians.
  • Participate in preparing service proposals, including cost estimates and schedules.
  • Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes, methods, and tools.
