Join our dynamic team as a Project Engineer specializing in Infotainment, Audio, and Microphone systems. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expert technical direction on system and hardware design, component selection, feasibility analysis, and troubleshooting complex engineering challenges.
  • Facilitating program delivery by ensuring that supplier milestones and engineering deliverables align with customer expectations and internal processes.
  • Overseeing supplier technical reviews and design validation to ensure adherence to relevant standards and customer specifications.
  • Conducting thorough technical analyses, maintaining documentation, tracking component readiness, and performing risk assessments.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for daily delivery support, offering regular updates, managing escalations, and coordinating activities among various engineering sub-teams.
  • Aligning all efforts with the customer’s Cockpit Electronics technical roadmap to promote a consistent approach and reuse across vehicle programs.

Key deliverables will include:

  1. Technical Assessments: Evaluating Cockpit Electronics components (clusters, displays, HUD, HMI modules, domain controllers, input devices) and producing comprehensive Technical Assessment Reports.
  2. Documentation Creation: Developing and maintaining component specifications, interface documents, and engineering change documentation, including MTS, DFMEA, DVP, 2D Drawings, 3D data within SAP, DFM, and ECL.
  3. Build Phase Support: Assisting in prototype, mule, and VP builds, ensuring validation of parts, software, and configurations while tracking any issues that arise.
  4. Supplier Coordination: Managing design reviews, technical sign-offs, problem-solving (8D), and collecting validation evidence, resulting in RFI/RFQ, Hardware Specifications, Software Specifications, Supplier DFMEA, Design Reviews, Timing Plans, 8D Reports, QCR, DVP&R, and Open Issue Lists.
  5. Engineering Documentation: Preparing essential engineering documents, including test reports, risk registers, technical summaries, and decision-making packs, culminating in Decision Matrices, DVP&R, and ECRs.
  6. Delivery Readiness Tracking: Monitoring and reporting on the readiness of deliveries to ensure alignment with program milestones and gateway deliverables.
  7. Technical Benchmarking: Conducting extensive technical benchmarking and technology assessments to inform project direction.
