Minimum Qualifications:At least 5 years of experience in environmental remediation and civil construction projects.40-hour OSHA certification and current 8-Hour HAZWOPER Refresher, or the ability to complete prior to the start date. Proficient in MS Office Suite. Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients, regulatory agencies, field operations, technical staff, and subcontractors. Demonstrated ability to write project work plans and health and safety plans. Willingness to travel 25-50% of the time to various project sites across multiple states as required.

Join Essel Environmental as a Project Engineer in our Environmental Services division, where you'll play a crucial role in managing and executing civil construction and environmental remediation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of fieldwork, interpreting specifications, and coordinating construction phases to ensure projects stay on schedule.
  • Manage project tasks, prepare technical reports, and support environmental remediation and civil construction initiatives.
  • Conduct onsite field work, including daily project activity reporting, production reports, change orders, and contract documentation support.
  • Implement and oversee adherence to Health and Safety standards.
  • Contribute to proposal preparation, supervise personnel, and mentor staff in technical areas.
  • Oversee project management tasks, including scheduling, cost control, and budget tracking.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients and regulatory agencies to manage expectations.
  • Report project status to the program/project manager regularly.
