Qualifications:A Master's Degree or foreign equivalent in Energy Systems, Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field plus at least 1 year of relevant experience in energy engineering. Alternatively, a Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent in the same fields plus 3 years of experience in a related position will be considered. Proficient experience with the following:Designing and managing incentive programs and understanding energy regulations. Collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders effectively. Managing multiple projects simultaneously and ensuring timely completion. Familiarity with energy efficiency measures and their implementation.

Join Resource Innovations as a Project Engineer – Energy (YL1726) in our Chicago office. This is a full-time hybrid position allowing partial telecommuting up to three days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct technical engineering evaluations and inspections for energy efficiency projects, ensuring compliance with established Energy Efficiency (EE) program guidelines.
  • Perform thorough reviews of energy assessments and audits for commercial and retail clientele.
  • Utilize spreadsheets for energy efficiency calculations.
  • Supervise energy efficiency inspections and manage daily inspection activities, including customer interactions, scheduling, and quality control processes.
  • Engage with subcontractors, clients, and customers on high-incentive projects to verify that equipment and specifications conform to program standards and timelines.
  • Lead measure design initiatives, develop and assess energy savings calculations for baseline and efficient equipment, and scrutinize technical documentation.
  • Explore and pinpoint new opportunities and energy efficiency measures to broaden our portfolio.
  • Establish and sustain effective methods for inspection forecasting and performance tracking.
  • Provide technical support to teams requiring clarification on engineering topics.
  • Mentor junior engineers and other team members in various aspects of energy efficiency, including inspections, technical reviews, design measures, and tracking methodologies.
  • Enhance program procedures, workflows, and inter-team communication.
  • Create training and reference materials for project management.
  • Oversee the Standard EE program safety protocols, ensuring compliance across all program teams.
